This was my first project of final year. We were posed the title “Food Politics”. In my research I discovered that politicians take a £25 cover for lunch when they are in the Houses of Parliament, which they continued to take during the Coronavirus pandemic. Whilst the government was “unable” to support underprivileged families who’s children would usually be getting free lunches in school. This meant whilst the children were not in school their parents could not afford to feed them, leaving them hungry whilst the politicians were able to take over indulgent lunches. I represented my interpretation of this in a mixture of mediums, line drawn in ink and an acrylic painting.
